Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Global G-2 - 8 inch, 20cm Chef's KnifeCustomer Review: Gorgeous Blade Summary: 5 Stars
Gorgeous blade this knife cuts extremely well but there is one thing that i did not like about it and it is that as many others said about this knife line is that they are a bit small and it can be difficult to hold if you (like me have big hands) at first the light weight felt odd because i am used to the heaver western ones, others have brought up the packaging is horrible it is a zip tie can make it difficult to remove, and if your not careful you can really hurt your self fortunately i did not but just watch what your doing when taking these raze sharp blades out of the box. if you want a heaver and bigger one go the the Shun Ken Onion series yes they are twice as much but they are eazer to hold if you got large hands or prefer are heaver knife.

I read about this knife on the Cooking for Engineers web site. This was my first high dollar knife. I was tired of the cheap knifes. Have been using it for a month now and love it.
Customer Review: Great for smaller hands Summary: 5 Stars
I used German knives throughout culinary school and was constantly in pain due to the larger handles and heavier weight. The male chefs I have worked with have usually complained that the knife is too light for them, so if you do have larger hands or like a heavier knife, beware. This knife is a godsend for those with smaller hands, especially for heavy usage. It is more difficult to sharpen than the German knives I've had, but it does hold its edge much longer. My advice, go to a store and hold the knives before you buy them. And to add to the previous posters, do NOT put them in the dishwasher...
Customer Review: Great knife Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this for my wife. A hundred bucks for a knife insane! Until you use it. I think this is worth the money. My wife says is the best thing since sliced bread. And... you can slice bread with it. Seriously, great knife. It will last a long time. Don't keep buy cheapo knives year after year. Just get one of these. Very sharp edge, nice weight, and comfortable.
Customer Review: Great knoife Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the knife after reading Anthony Bourdain's book. I really love the knife. I have a set of good Henkel's but this knife puts them to shame. It makes copping and cutting a breeze.
The only thing I have found the knife is not very good at cutting is very ripe grape tomato's. You need a knife with slight serrations.
