Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Global Decor Stainless-Steel Chopsticks, 4 PairsCustomer Review: Great for trees Summary: 4 Stars
Being that I am a planet conscious kind of person, I took note of the enviro urging that chopsticks use trees, and then they get thrown away, in most cases. Well, a waitress at a Japanese restaurant gave me a pair of lacquered wooden ones, which lasted for about 20 years. They finally broke a week ago, and I knew that there are chopsticks made of titanium, for backpackers. I did a search to find them, and what did I get but being directed to Amazon!
Wow! Just what I wanted! I wouldn't have to pay four times as much for just one pair, so I quickly added them to my cart. They came with free shipping in a few days, and was I eager to try them out. I just now had some California roll, and they did well. A bit slippery compared to wood, maybe, but I was able to pick up a single roe egg, and the feel of them is great! Makes my day! With four pair at such a price, I will now carry them about in my belt pack or pocket, and they fit perfectly into a plastic baggie to keep them away from dirt or what when I carry them about. Washing is a snap, and I can also then reuse the baggie as long as I keep it clean--I wrap them into a napkin when finished eating, and that keeps the inside of my baggie clean.
They are lightweight, and appear pretty strong. From someone who has eaten with chopsticks for 50 years, I give this my recommendation. Using these, you will save the forest, and thus save the planet! The 1950's enviro entreaties about thrown away utensils is now moot. I urge all Asian restaurants to adopt using these--they are inexpensive enough so if customers steal them, it won't be much of a loss.
The stainless steel finish is also a pleasing sight to look at. They are not just straight sticks, they have a slight curve to parts of them, perhaps for ergonomics. They still sound like chopsticks when you click them together, and as much as I like to dine Asian, so many trees will be saved if these come into widespread use!
Customer Review: Great, very light Summary: 5 Stars
8 metal sticks, nice. Although metal, they're lighter (than a piece of silverware) than one would expect. Kind of ~hollow feel, but they won't bend/break on you.
All in all they're a good buy.

Customer Review: How Can You Really Go Wrong? Summary: 5 Stars
The way I see it, it is hard to mess up chopsticks. I bought this set because my mother was coming to visit me from out of town and I wanted her to feel at home. She is old school and still prefers the wooden chopsticks for cooking, etc. She nevertheless agrees the chopsticks are good quality and uses them from time to time for meals. They grip as good as any chopsticks can I would imagine but because they are rounded, they tend to roll; I've never owned stainless steel chopsticks before to compare these with anything else. They seem to do the job, and I am happy with them. They are run through the dishwasher without any problems and are sleek enough not to look tacky next to my silverware.
